MEMORANDUM #25, 2012 Gregory R. Mennis M E M O R A N D U M TO: All Retirement Boards FROM: Joseph E. Connarton, Executive Director RE: Educational Credits/NCPERS TEDS Conference/New York DATE: February 29, 2012 Please be advised that in conjunction with MACRS, the Commission has finalized a plan for accreditation for retirement board members to attend and receive four (4) hours of credit for the upcoming Trustee Educational Seminar (TEDS) of National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) which will be conducted in New York, New York on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6, 2012. Should a board member wish to attend these sessions, you will be asked for a picture identification, and you will be required to sign in at the beginning of these sessions, and sign out at their completion. In order to receive credit please forward a copy of the certificate provided to the attendees to PERAC. I suggest that anyone interested in attendance of TEDS should register as soon as possible as there is a discounted rate if you register before April 10, 2012. I want to thank the Executive Director of NCPERS, Hank Kim, and both President Denis Devine and Vice-President Chet Riley for their efforts in this regard.
