This memo announces the distribution of updated copies of the Massachusetts Public Employee Guide to Disability Retirement to all retirement boards (free, based on membership size) and to every public library in the Commonwealth. Additional copies can be ordered through Central Reprographics or downloaded from PERAC's website. No action is required of boards beyond noting the availability of these updated materials for members and staff.

M E M O R A N D U M TO: All Retirement Boards FROM: Joseph E. Connarton, Executive Director RE: Disability Retirement Guides
DATE: January 2, 2007
Central Reprographics, the Commonwealth’s in-house printer, will mail copies of the updated Massachusetts Public Employee Guide to Disability Retirement to all retirement boards the week of January 1, 2007. In keeping with PERAC’s past practices, these copies are being dispensed free of charge to the boards in accordance with a distribution formula based on membership size.
The attached flyer contains information about how to obtain additional copies of the disability retirement guide from Central Reprographics. You may also download updated copies of the guide for free from the publications section of PERAC’s Home Page: www.mass.gov/perac.
In an effort to increase accessibility to public pension information, we are also mailing copies of the Massachusetts Public Employee Guide to Disability Retirement and the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide, as well as information about how to order additional copies, to every public library in Massachusetts.
