This memo transmits PERAC's Reform Initiatives Advisory Report and announces four public hearings in September 2005 (Somerville, Worcester, Springfield, and Plymouth) at which boards and interested parties may comment on the proposed pension reforms. Enclosed for your review is a copy of the Reform Initiatives Advisory Report. Public hearings on these initiatives will be held at the following locations:
• Wednesday, September 14, 2005, 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M., PERAC Training Room, 5 Middlesex Avenue, 3 rd Floor, Somerville, MA 02145
• Thursday, September 15, 2005, 1:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M., Assumption College, 500 Salisbury Street, at the LaMaison Francaise, Building # 1, Worcester, MA 01609
• Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 10:00 A.M. to 12 noon, City Council Chambers, Springfield City Hall, 36 Court Street, Springfield, MA 01103
• Wednesday, September 28, 2005, 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M., The Otto Fehlow Room, Plymouth Public Library, 132 South Street, Plymouth, MA 02360
You are encouraged to attend and participate in all or any of these hearings. Directions to all of the above locations can be found on our website at www.mass.gov/perac.
