PERAC MEMO #45/2000 M E M O R A N D U M TO: All Retirement Boards FROM: Joseph E. Connarton, Executive Director RE: Revised Regulations DATE: October 25, 2000 The Commission’s regulations relating to disclosure of information, retirement board elections, approval of retirement board decisions, disability retirement, service after age 70 and service between age 65 and 70 are now in effect. Attached is a copy of 840 CMR 6.00, 7.00, 9.00, 10.00, 11.00 and 12.00 for the board’s review and implementation. Copies should be provided to each board member. These regulations represent the final product of several public hearings conducted throughout the Commonwealth with great participation from board members and staff. The boards should now be following these regulations. The Commission is in the process of updating the forms which relate to these regulations. Those updated forms will be provided when they are complete. We are also continuing our regulation review and will provide additional information on that process in the near future.
