PERAC Memo #28 - 1999: Classes for Board Members and Administrators

PERAC MEMO #28/1999 M E M O R A N D U M TO: All Retirement Boards FROM: Joseph Connarton, Acting Executive Director RE: Classes for Board Members and Administrators DATE: August 2, 1999 As has been announced, the Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission is offering classes about some important legal and investment topics beginning on August 24, 1999 at PERAC. As of this writing, there are still some seats available for each of the August classes. PERAC has now also scheduled this legal and investment class for Northampton on September 21st, 1999, for Plymouth on September 28th, 1999 and for Worcester on September 30th, 1999. Each participant must register for class by completing a PERAC Class Registration form. Registration will be on a “first come, first served basis”. Upon receipt of your registration form, PERAC will either, depending on circumstances, confirm that a seat has been reserved for you, or advise you that seating capacity has already been reached, or inform you that the course offering has been postponed (hopefully, an infrequent occurrence). I have enclosed a class synopsis for the August and September classes and a PERAC Class Registration form. We’re looking forward to seeing you at these classes and will keep you updated as the fall and winter course schedule develops further.
