PERAC MEMO #27/1999 M E M O R A N D U M TO: All Retirement Boards FROM: Joseph Connarton, Acting Executive Director RE: Updated Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide DATE: July 28, 1999 We have recently updated PERAC’s Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide. It now reflects changes and amendments to the law through the 1998 session of the Massachusetts General Court. A copy of the revised guide is enclosed. You may use it to make copies for your membership. Please discontinue the use of any general guide to retirement previously issued by PERAC and rely instead upon this up-to-date version. The revised guide has been posted on PERAC’s Home Page, www.state.ma.us/perac, on the Internet. You may find it there under the Publications Section. We have presented three different options for accessing the guide. Our goal was to make it easy for you and your membership to conduct on-line research and to print additional copies as needed. We are updating our Guide to Survivor Benefits for Public Employees and anticipate making it available within the next few weeks.
