This memo notifies boards that pending legislation (H.5020) extends the implementation deadline for the Early Intervention Program (required under Chapter 306 of the Acts of 1996) to July 1, 1998. PERAC MEMO #49/1997 M E M O R A N D U M TO: All Retirement Boards FROM: Robert F. Stalnaker, Executive Director RE: Early Intervention Program/H.5020 DATE: December 26, 1997 This is to advise you of the latest legislative action concerning H.5020 which relates to the Early Intervention Program required pursuant to Chapter 306 of the Acts of 1996. Legislation is now at the final stage of enactment which extends the date for implementation of the Early Intervention Program until July 1, 1998. It is anticipated that this proposal will be sent to the Governor in the near future. Consequently, until you receive further notice from this office, it is not necessary to proceed with the implementation of the Early Intervention Program at this time. / msoffice
