Summary

This memo notifies boards that PERAC's Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide is now available on PERAC's website (in both HTML and PDF formats), with a hard copy PDF enclosed, and that the Disability Retirement and Survivor Benefits guides will be posted online within two weeks. No action is required of boards other than awareness that PERAC will notify them of any future content updates, and that printed pamphlet versions of all three guides are planned for later release.

PERAC MEMO #42/1997 M E M O R A N D U M TO:All Retirement Boards FROM:Robert F. Stalnaker, Executive Director RE:Retirement Guides DATE:November 12, 1997 We have added PERAC’s Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide to our Home Page on the Internet. The guide can be accessed via our Publications Directory. The guide is presented in two formats. The html format is designed to facilitate quick browsing via a hot-keyed table of contents. The pdf format enables you to print the entire guide and retain proper formatting and pagination. A hard copy of the guide (the pdf version) is enclosed for your perusal. PERAC’s Guide to Disability Retirement for Public Employees and Guide to Survivor Benefits for Public Employees will be added to our Home Page within the next two weeks. If we make changes to the content of any of these guides after posting them to our Internet site, we will notify you. Eventually, we plan on releasing all three guides in pamphlet format on good quality stock. However, such a release is, at this point, at least a few months away. RSF/sk
