Credit Legislation DATE: August 11, 1997 Attached is a further updated list of retirement systems which have accepted the provisions of chapter 71 of the acts of 1996 as amended by chapter 188 of the acts of 1996, the act which allows eligible veterans to buy up to four years of creditable service for their time in the armed forces. Please review the list to insure that your system is accurately noted as having accepted the legislation. If your system has accepted the legislation but is not reflected as having done so on the attached list, please contact this office immediately.
